2012 Primary Theme Chapstick Labels

I have FINALLY gotten the 2012 Primary Theme Chapstick Label finished.  I know it has taken me FOREVER, but I honestly was not able to think of a single idea until two days ago.  Those two days have been busy designing and refining the label so it is just what I had in mind.  I hope you like it too . . .

Download this label that has all of the colors I've designed.

I ONLY use ChapStick brand lip balm for two reasons:  1.  I like it best (it reminds me of my dad -- he ALWAYS has ChapStick in his pocket) and 2.  That is the size of these labels.

I have a tutorial in applying the label here.  A few people have suggested just printing right on label paper.  I am sure that would work, but I have never tried it!  If anyone does, I would love some feedback.  I think it might not last as long because the clear tape is over the whole label on these and it gives it an added protection.  Comment on what you've tried!

**PROMOTION** If you would like to be entered in a DRAWING for a free chapstick, just comment below and I will RANDOMLY draw a winner!  The drawing will end DECEMBER 22, so I can get the winner's prize in the mail in time for 2012!!!

If you would rather buy this than make it, you can send me an e-mail at lorene(at)yourvinylgraphics(dot)com or click on my ETSY shop

Remember . . .

Thanks for all your comments! When you try to print them, I think it works just to make sure it says "print to fit" or something similar.
I charge $2.00 for a finished chapstick and you can order them at my etsy shop or e-mail me. Printing the labels is free.
THANKS!

I print these on plain paper, cut them out and put clear packing tape over the top. It is durable and I can re-position the label if I don't get it on straight. Thanks for all your kind words :)

I forgot to mention that you can get chapstick in bulk at Sam's Club--but I found that my local Wal-Mart was just as cheap. Good luck :)

I think your chapstick lables are adorable. I am trying to print them off. I downloaded them and can't find them. If I search for it, it shows me the encrypted code version only. What am I not doing right?

It is SUPER annoying when the computer doesn't do what you want it to do!!
When you download the file, make sure it is going to a document folder that you can recover later. Sometimes when I download stuff, I don't pay attention to where it is going & then I can't find it again. Something like 'documents' and then a sub-folder if you want it in that.
If it doesn't work, let me know & I'll e-mail it to you directly & we'll see if that helps!
Good Luck!

We are going to use these for Birthday gifts. We have a large Primary of 60 kids. I found lip balm here: http://bulkapothecary.com/ for .28 cents a piece. You can select flavors and everything. Thanks for sharing a fun idea!
